My client is a specialist design and build contractor delivering complex projects across the data centre, defence and energy sectors. Their reputation has been built on technical excellence, innovation and delivering projects where quality, collaboration and engineering expertise are fundamental to success.
They are now looking for a Design Manager to join a flagship hyperscale data centre development in Acton, leading the design function on one of the UK's largest and most technically demanding mission critical construction projects.
This is a senior leadership role where you'll take ownership of design delivery from bid stage through to project completion, ensuring designs are compliant, buildable, commercially viable and aligned with programme, quality, sustainability and client requirements.
You'll lead the coordination of architects, consultants, designers and specialist subcontractors, ensuring design information is delivered on programme and supports procurement and construction activities.
Working closely with engineering, commercial and project delivery teams, you'll manage design interfaces, resolve technical challenges and ensure approved information is available to support construction throughout the project lifecycle.
You'll also play a key role in driving value engineering, managing design risks and promoting technical excellence, ensuring all designs comply with Building Regulations, CDM requirements and project specifications.
