White Label Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading construction business to recruit a Design Manager for a modular/construction/architectural environment. The role covers design from inception through to completion, including tendering and construction oversight.

The successful candidate will manage design teams, liaise with stakeholders, ensure compliance with Building Regulations, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Min HNC in Construction or Architectural or similar
• Experience as Design Manager, Design Coordinator or Architect in architectural or modular building contexts
• Hands-on design experience of Modular Buildings using AutoCAD or Revit
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Responsibilities

• Manage the design process from inception to completion, including proposals, tendering, and construction oversight
• Coordinate with internal teams to integrate design with other project aspects
• Provide technical guidance to the design team
• Develop and maintain project documentation (plans, risk assessments, briefs)
• Manage project budgets and ensure targets are met
• Ensure design work meets high standards within timescales and budgets
• Develop and implement design policies for continuous improvement

Job Title: Design Manager - Construction/Architectural/Modular

Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 + WFH + Bonus + Private Healthcare

You will work in a fast-paced environment, and you will get to see and experience everything from concept to completion.

The Role:

• Manage the design process from inception to completion, including producing design proposals, managing the tender process, and overseeing the construction phase
• Liaise with other teams within the company to ensure the design process is integrated with other aspects of the project
• Provide technical advice and guidance to the design team
• Develop and maintain effective project documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, and design briefs
• Manage project budgets and ensure financial targets are met
• Ensure all design work is completed to a high standard, within agreed timescales and budgets
• Develop and implement design policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement of the design function

The Person:

• Min HNC in Construction or Architectural or similar
• Experience working as a - Design Manager, Design Coordinator or Architect - in an Architectural Practice or Modular Building business
• Must have current or prior experience in hands on design of Modular Buildings or similar using AutoCAD or Revit
• Good understanding of Building Regulations is a MUST
• Strong Project Management skills
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skill
• Proven ability to review and improve processes and procedures, looking for innovative and creative solutions

Salary & Benefits:

• £50,000 - £75,000 (Dependent On Experience)
• 37.5 working week:
• Monday - Thursday - 8 am - 5pm
• Friday - 8 am - 2pm
• 1 Day WFH per week/4 days WFH per month
• Bonus (Up-to 30%)
