Design Manager South Yorkshire/Remote £80-100k

Our client is a rapidly growing Civils company who work across a number of sectors Nationwide.

They have an immediate requirement to recruit a Design Manager coming from a Geo-technical / structural background who is able take ownership over their design function and proactively contribute to the growth of the design capabilities.

To be successful in the role you will need to be Chartered with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a similar leadership role within the construction industry.

Job Description

• Deliver design packages and technical aspects for all company projects
• Coordination of design production
• Build and manage the design team, responsible for the professional and technical development of staff
• Maintain cost planning and outputs required to meet project budgets
• Supervise project teams, review work and provide performance feedback
• Management of design meetings to deliver to programme and generate technical solutions as required
• Oversight of design compliance as required

Requirements

• Chartership in a relevant discipline
• Background in Geo-Technical / Structural /Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of experience managing a team
• Excellent knowledge of 3D Design software, BIM, Revit etc
• Commercial awareness
• Possess excellent technical knowledge with a proven ability to manage design teams and sub-contractors
