Job summary

Omexom is seeking an experienced Design Manager for a Carlisle, Cumbria hybrid site-based role on a major UK transmission infrastructure project. You will lead end-to-end design delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient delivery and alignment with technical governance and NEC contracts.

Reporting to the Design Management Regional Lead, you will drive design assurance, stakeholder engagement and seamless integration with construction.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in HV substation or transmission projects.
• Strong understanding of National Grid standards and assurance processes.
• Design management experience within energy, utilities or infrastructure sectors.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations, design assurance and NEC contracts.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage design delivery across a complex HV transmission project.

Omexom is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team and lead the design delivery, a major UK transmission infrastructure project. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of critical energy infrastructure, working at the forefront of the UK's transition to a more sustainable energy network.

Reporting to the Design Management Regional Lead, you will take ownership of the end-to-end design process, ensuring design programmes, technical assurance activities and multidisciplinary coordination are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
