Job summary

Omexom is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our growing team, supporting the delivery of National Grid's Great Grid Partnership programme in the UK.

Reporting to the Design Management Regional Lead, you will coordinate design activities across a portfolio of major energy infrastructure projects and work with project managers, designers and client stakeholders to ensure outputs are delivered safely and in line with programme requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in design management within the energy, utilities, transmission or major infrastructure sectors.
• Strong understanding of National Grid standards, processes and assurance requirements.
• Background in HV substations, overhead lines, cable routes or other transmission assets.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with CDM regulations and NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead design coordination and assurance across multiple energy infrastructure projects.
• Manage design programmes, technical reviews and interface activities.
• Drive design quality, compliance, CDM requirements and governance processes.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage key stakeholder relationships.
• Support NEC contract processes, design change management and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to tender development and continuous improvement initiatives.
