Job summary

Tradeline Recruitment is seeking a Design Coordinator/Manager in Milton Keynes to join the design team overseeing non-residential projects. Reporting to the Director of Design, you will contribute to daily design management and liaise with Site Manager/Pre-construction teams for design packages and procurement strategies.

You will review designs for compliance, assist in development of project documentation, and help shape the Design Management Plan while coordinating communications with clients

Qualifications

• Architectural or Design qualifications (essential).
• Experience in construction project design via Architecture route or Main Contractor route.
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment.
• Good understanding of the Design & Build process.
• Experience in organizing, preparing, chairing meetings and drafting minutes.

Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements/output specs.
• Review design, procurement and construction information for compliance with project documentation.
• Review design output to verify it meets client output specifications.
• Prepare monthly activity report for the Design Manager (DM).
• Contribute to the Design Management Plan (DMP).
• Contribute to and prepare project documentation as required.

Client

• Our client is a Regional Contractor seeking a Design Coordinator/Manager to join their design team overseeing non-Residential projects.

Job purpose and scope:

• Reporting to the Director of Design, you will contribute to the projects daily Design Management.
• When required, you will liaise with the Site Manager / Pre-construction team for the development of design packages and procurement strategies.

Accountabilities and key tasks:

• Understand client requirements/output specs
• Assist in the review of and if required, undertake a review of the Design, procurement and construction information to ensure it complies with Project documentation
• Assist in the review of and if required undertake a review of design output and verifies its compliance with Client s output specifications.
• Prepare monthly report on Activity to DM
• Contribute to the Design Management Plan (DMP)
• Contribute to and if required prepare the Project s Document

Essential criteria:

• Architectural or Design qualifications
• Experience in construction project design via Architecture route or Main Contractor route.
• Knowledge of the regulatory environment
• Good understanding of the Design & Build process
• Experience in having an active involvement in the meeting process (organising, preparing, chairing, drafting minutes)
