Job summary

Tyréns AKT is expanding its London studio and seeks a highly motivated Façade Designer to deliver engineering design projects from concept to completion. You will work across commercial, healthcare, retail, industrial, education, hospitality and other environments, producing detailed designs and drawings while coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

Relevant degree in Facade Engineering, Architecture, Building Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Experience with BS/EN standards and facade design.
Strong written, verbal and sketching communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Collaborative approach and client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with client, architect and consultants to determine best facade design outcomes.
Design project details under guidance of team leader or Associate Director.
Produce concept sketches, detailed designs, calculations and reports.
Coordinate with other disciplines and ensure design coordination.
Review design deliverables for compliance with specifications.
Maintain document control of drawings.
Edit specifications to clarify technical requirements.
Review facade contractor’s submissions.
Witness testing of facade systems.
