Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking an experienced Design Lead to manage technical delivery and multidisciplinary coordination for sports facility projects across the UK. You will lead design development from concept to construction issue, coordinating with architects, engineers and contractors to produce buildable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience in an engineering design environment.
• Strong practical engineering design and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience working within BIM-led project environments.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the multidisciplinary design and coordination of stadiums, training facilities and sports infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate engineering systems including drainage, irrigation, water infrastructure and HVAC interfaces.
• Coordinate design information with architectural, structural, civil, MEP, landscape and utilities.
• Develop and review technical drawings, BIM models and design documentation.
• Prepare and coordinate performance specs, BoQs and design reports.
• Review calculations and contractor submissions for design-stage accuracy.
• Ensure packages are robust, coordinated and build-ready.
• Oversee design deliverables, priorities and programmes across projects.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and contractors in BIM-led environments.
