Job summary

Sphere Solutions is seeking an experienced Design Manager for a major UK construction project near Gloucester. You will lead the design delivery from pre-construction through to completion on a £40m scheme, coordinating consultants and internal teams to deliver buildable, compliant designs.

You will oversee design information flow, manage risks, and work closely with Project Director and delivery teams to meet programme milestones and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager with UK main contractor.
• Experience delivering medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Strong design coordination and programme management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design process across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, engineers and subcontractors.
• Chair design team meetings and drive design progress against milestones.
• Review design information for quality, compliance and buildability.
• Ensure timely issue of coordinated drawings to site team.
• Maintain client and stakeholder communication.
