Job summary

Winthrop Technologies Ltd. is seeking an experienced Design Lead to join its project team in Blyth, United Kingdom.

The role will lead and manage design across Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP disciplines, ensuring coordinated, compliant designs delivered to programme requirements. You will oversee in-house design teams and external consultants, drive design workshops, manage TS, RFIs and IFC releases, and report weekly design progress to stakeholders, maintaining design risk registers

Qualifications

• Must have significant design management experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities are essential.
• Excellent coordination across Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design delivery across Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP disciplines.
• Coordinate design with client and consultants to meet programme requirements.
• Oversee TS, RFIs and IFC releases and manage change control.
• Prepare weekly design progress reports and maintain a design risk register.
• Ensure regulatory and local code compliance and QA/QC procedures on site.
