Job summary

AP Racing is offering a 13-month placement for undergraduate engineers starting July 2027. You will work on real engineering challenges, develop industry-relevant skills, and contribute to cutting-edge products.

Responsibilities include designing and modifying brake and clutch products using CAD and FEA, creating technical documents, and collaborating with engineers, suppliers and customers across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 2D Technical Drawing, including knowledge of GD&T.
• Practical engineering experience.
• Experience with Python, VBA, or similar programming languages.

AP Racing is offering an exciting 13-month placement for undergraduate engineers looking to gain hands-on experience within a globally recognised company. Starting in July 2027, you'll work on real engineering challenges, develop industry-relevant skills, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge products.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and modify brake and clutch products for race and high-performance road applications using CAD, FEA, and technical drawings.
• Create and modify technical documents.
• Collaborating with engineers, suppliers and customers across multiple disciplines.
• 2D Technical Drawing, including knowledge of GD&T
• Practical engineering experience
• Experience with Python, VBA, or similar programming languages
• Microsoft Office

What We’re Looking For

• An undergraduate who has completed at least two years of study and is on track for a 2:1 or above.
• Studying Mechanical, Motorsport, Automotive, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Eager to learn new skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to challenges.
• Passionate about engineering, self-motivated, and proactive in their work.
• A strong team player with effective communication skills.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
