Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Design Engineer/ Draughtsperson for an established manufacturing environment in the Midlands. The role is commutable from Willand, Wellington, Tiverton, Honiton, Crediton and surrounding areas.

You will produce manufacturing drawings, bespoke product and component designs, and provide design support across projects using 2D/3D CAD, while advancing your career through extensive training and funded qualifications.

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Draughtsperson or Manufacturing Design Engineer from a fabrication, machine shop or general engineering background, looking to step into a highly technical industry, where you will play a key role in the end to end design processes and systems collaboratively with teams across the business and progress your career with extensive training and qualification opportunities?

In this highly varied role, you will play a key role in the technical design team producing manufacturing drawings, bespoke product and component designs, whilst providing technical support and expertise across design based projects. The role will a solution oriented self starter who is looking to work collaboratively with teams across the business to continue to improve standards across the board.

This role would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer, Mechanical Draughtsperson or Manufacturing Design Engineer from a fabrication, machine shop or general engineering background looking to move into a role offering future progression, training and company benefits.

The Role:

• Producing manufacturing drawings, bespoke product and component designs
• Providing detailed design and material plans
• Project management at various stages from conception to completion

The Person:

• Background in Mechanical Engineering
• Mechanical Design or Fabrication Design background
• Experience with 2D/ 3D CAD
