Job summary

Galaxy Personnel is recruiting for a Design Engineer to join a busy drawing team in Norfolk. The role requires experience with Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and 3D design in a manufacturing setting. You will contribute to BOM creation and support continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring safe, standards-compliant designs.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, full-time, in-office. A degree or HND in engineering or manufacturing is desirable.

Qualifications

Experience within manufacturing business.
Autodesk Inventor 3D, SolidWorks, or similar 3D software and AutoCAD experience.
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Desirable - Degree/HND in an engineering/manufacturing qualification or equivalent work experience in a related role.

Responsibilities

To assist with the continued implementation of Autodesk Inventor 3D and Vault Professional within the Engineering & Design Team.
Creating bill of materials for production process
To be involved in continuous improvement techniques, lean initiatives and other activities to improve the overall efficiency of the Company, including via ISO 9001 accreditation.
To utilise best practice and ensure that all designs eliminate hazards and reduce risks, as far as is reasonably practicable.
To assist change and develop more efficient processes within the Engineering & Design team
