Job summary

Comxps Ltd is seeking a rail engineer for a 6-month rolling contract with a Government client. Location is nationwide with London or Basingstoke 3 days a week in the office. Applicants should hold an engineering degree or equivalent, with PTS and experience in rail infrastructure life cycles.

The role requires teamwork, good communication and robust risk assessment capabilities. Salary is to be confirmed on application.

• PTS (Personal Track Safety) is essential.
• CDM, Risk assessment and external audit competency.
• Aptitude for option development and strong evaluation/decision-making skills.
• Working knowledge of rail engineering and understanding of related disciplines.

Essential

• An engineering degree or equivalent industry-recognised training qualification.
• IRSE Principles Designer licence or equivalent for the asset.
• A demonstrable aptitude for aptitude for option development.
• Strong evaluation and decision-making skills.
• A working knowledge of rail engineering; relevant successful experience working in the principal discipline and an adequate understanding of all other related disciplines.
• An ability to work and communicate effectively in a team context.
• An appreciation of all the life cycle stages of rail infrastructure.
• CDM, Risk assessment and external audit competency.
