Job summary

Insight Select is recruiting an experienced Product Innovation Engineer in Whitstable for a hybrid, permanent role. You will design and develop prototype products, coordinate with the testing team to ensure guidelines, and amend prototype specifications to meet requirements.

You'll investigate failed prototype tests and present concepts and technical details to internal teams to drive successful product introductions.

Qualifications

• Experience in product development or prototype engineering.
• Higher National Certificate or Degree in an Engineering field.
• Experience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Background within manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical environments.
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Up to £80,000 Basic Salary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Product Innovation Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone with experience in prototype engineering experience and experience developing new products in an engineering space.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and developing prototype products
• Work with the testing team to ensure products meet guidelines and amending prototype specifications
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure designs meet the correct requirements
• Conduct investigations on failed prototype tests
• Presenting concepts and technical details to internal teams

Requirements

• Previous experience within a product development or prototype engineering position
• Higher National Certificate or Degree in an Engineering field
• Experience using SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD software
• Background within manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical environments
