Job summary

Hunter Selection is recruiting for a Design Engineer in Newtown. The role involves designing and developing new products, producing 3D CAD models and technical drawings, and managing projects from concept through manufacture.

It requires a mechanical engineering background (HNC/HND or degree) and experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks desirable). The position offers flexitime, a healthcare scheme and sick pay after 2 years.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience using 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks experience desirable
• Good understanding of engineering design principles and design for manufacture
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
• Ability to produce accurate engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Production and other departments
• Suitable for both graduate-level candidates and experienced Design Engineers
