Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Highways & Drainage Design Engineer to join our team across multiple UK locations. We are a Tier 1 contractor with a vast project pipeline and a dedicated design consultancy.

Qualifications

• Holding IEng Initial Professional Development (or CEng equivalent progress) with a relevant professional institution (e.g. ICE) with relevant experience.
• Experienced in highways and drainage design solutions.
• Able to manage project responsibilities and lead design teams.
• Committed to maintaining professional development and technical excellence.
• Collaborative and focused on building effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading temporary works design and checking, with a focus on highways and drainage solutions integrated with permanent works design
• Providing tender and bid winning support including outline design schemes, feasibility studies, and innovative solutions
• Conducting technical assessments and reviews of third party designs to ensure compliance with client and Kier requirements
• Managing project delivery including design deliverables, financial aspects, and client relationships under appropriate supervision
• Undertaking site visits, surveys and inspections, attending meetings, and providing technical expertise to support project teams

We're looking for aHighways & Drainage Design Engineer to join our team based in Various locations. Location: Birmingham / Bristol / Cambridge / Cardiff / Glasgow / Leeds / Liverpool / London / Manchester / Newcastle / Norwich / Plymouth – agile working, with up to 1-2 days per week from home if desired
Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
Salary: Starting from £40k per annum

Are you…

We're seeking a talented engineer to join our team and contribute to delivering complex construction engineering services.
