Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a Design Engineer to join a growing Product Development team in Hull. You will produce detailed 2D/3D CAD designs and manufacturing information, taking concepts through to manufacture while helping improve performance, weight and cost.

You will work closely with engineering, production and other internal teams to deliver projects on time, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to design reviews and CAD system improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience creating and maintaining 2D/3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Experience with BOMs and engineering change control processes.
• Understanding of materials, assemblies and manufacturing processes.
• Exposure to injection moulding, extrusion, or modular manufacturing is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Interest in new materials, product development and sustainable design.

Responsibilities

• Develop CAD-led solutions to improve product performance, weight, cost and complexity.

Are you a Design Engineer with strong 2D/3D CAD experience looking to join a growing Product Development team?

We’re working with a UK-leading manufacturer recognised for its innovation, design and product quality, as they continue to expand their engineering team in Hull.

This is a great opportunity to work on high-profile product development projects, taking designs from concept through to manufacture while helping improve product performance, cost, weight and efficiency.

You’ll play a key role within the Product Development team, producing detailed CAD designs and manufacturing information while working closely with engineering, production and other internal teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Create, update and maintain 2D/3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
• Develop CAD-led solutions to improve product performance, weight, cost and complexity
• Support new product development from concept through to manufacture

We’re interested in Design Engineers with experience working within a design or engineering office environment, ideally with exposure to manufactured products.

• Exposure to processes such as injection moulding, extrusion, structural or modular manufacturing would be advantageous
