Job summary

Meridian Business Support is seeking a Design Engineer to join our client in Honiton, United Kingdom. This mid-weight mechanical design role focuses on automotive or large plant and agricultural machinery, with the full design lifecycle from concept through to production.

You will model and validate components using SolidWorks, develop innovative solutions, and think in systems to integrate complex assemblies.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent required.
• Experience with design lifecycle in heavy automotive or agricultural machinery.
• Proficient in SolidWorks; training can be provided.
• Interest in cars, automotive sector, motorsport or agricultural machinery.

Design Engineer

We have the most exciting opportunity for a Mid Weight Mechanical Design Engineer with automotive or large plant/aquicultural machinery experience. It is essential that you have experience of the design lifecycle within heavy automotive or agricultural machinery.

Job Responsibilities

You will use your existing skills and practical knowledge of automotive systems to produce innovative mechanical designs. Your role will be to produce innovative designs from concept through to final production, including the visualisation of complex componentry combined with 'System' thinking.

Skills Required

• Mid weight Mechanical Design Engineer in the automotive sector.
• Experience with larger plant or agricultural machinery is a distinct advantage.
• SolidWorks proficiency (training can be provided).
• Genuine interest in cars, the automotive sector, motorsport, or agricultural machinery.
• Engineering Degree or similar.
