Design Engineer

Our client, a well-established machinery manufacturer based in the Heckmondwike area, is seeking an enthusiastic Design Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical design using SolidWorks, liaising with customers on specifications, and providing technical solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Creating user and maintenance manuals for machinery
2. Developing 3D models using SolidWorks for machinery updates or modifications
3. Leading continuous improvement and lean manufacturing strategies
4. Ensuring machinery compliance with quality standards
5. Greeting customers during visits to discuss parts requirements
6. Collaborating with customers to understand specifications and deliver solutions

Requirements:

• Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar 3D modelling software
• Living within a commutable distance of Heckmondwike
• Experience in a mechanical design-related role
• Degree in Mechanical or Design Engineering, or industry experience

Additional Details:

• Salary: £25,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience)
• Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30, Friday 08:00 - 14:00
• Holiday allowance and pension included
