Job summary

Prime Appointments is seeking a Controls & Design Engineer to join an established engineering team. The role covers design, controls, product development and continuous improvement, with a salary of £30,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.

The ideal candidate will have CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred), experience with electrical/diesel control systems and 1+ years in a design/engineering environment. Graduates with relevant hands-on exposure are welcome.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Product Design qualification preferred but not essential.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience with electrical or diesel control systems is desirable.
• PLC, CODESYS or scripting experience would be advantageous.
• 1+ years' experience within a design/engineering environment.
• Experience with rotating machinery, steel fabrication or control systems would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Producing engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Creating work instructions and electrical schematics.
• Supporting new product development, testing and validation.
• Working on continuous improvement of existing products.
• Engineering administration, including part number creation and BOM management.
• Providing application and technical support.
• Researching, developing and testing control systems.
• Creating technical documentation, manuals and guides.

We are open to graduates providing you have the relevant experience within electronics & control systems.

The Role:

About You:
