Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Water Design Engineer to join our established team delivering projects across water, chemical, and process sectors. You will produce detailed mechanical designs and drawings for water industry initiatives, collaborating with engineers, project managers, fabrication and site personnel to ensure designs are accurate and installable.

The role requires strong AutoCAD skills with experience in 2D and 3D design, and a solid understanding of mechanical design, fabrication

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in water industry.
• Ability to produce detailed mechanical drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with 3D design software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed mechanical designs and drawings for water industry projects.
• Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models.
• Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and technical specifications.
• Design mechanical equipment, pipework layouts and related systems.
• Identify and resolve design issues prior to manufacture and installation.
• Liaise with engineering, fabrication and site teams.
• Update drawings after design changes and site requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for producing detailed engineering designs and drawings for water industry projects, working closely with Engineers, Project Managers, Fabrication and Site teams to ensure designs are accurate, practical and suitable for manufacture and installation.

Essential Criteria of the Water Design Engineer

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within the Water industry.
• Experience producing detailed mechanical engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Proficient in Auto CAD and ideally 3D design software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs.
• Good understanding of mechanical design, fabrication and installation.
• Experience within water treatment, wastewater or process engineering.
