Alexander Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing team, delivering mechanical design deliverables for water and wastewater projects and ensuring designs meet time and budget constraints.

The role involves coordinating multi-disciplinary designs, supporting proposals, mentoring junior engineers, and maintaining strong client relationships on project delivery, with travel to sites and offices as required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in mechanical engineering design within the water, wastewater or process engineering sector.
• Experience designing mechanical aspects of water or wastewater treatment plants.
• A relevant Engineering degree/HND or equivalent experience.
• Chartered Engineer status or membership of a relevant professional institution.
• Good knowledge of water treatment, mechanical engineering and multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Working knowledge of CDM 2015 and relevant industry standards and regulations, including PUWER, LOLER, PSSR and DSEAR.
• Strong technical, analytical and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring or supervising engineering staff.
• The flexibility to travel to project sites and regional offices when required.
• A relevant Master's degree would be advantageous.

• Mentoring and supporting less experienced engineers.
• Maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships throughout project delivery.
