Job summary

Theo James Recruitment is partnering with a well-established engineering manufacturer in Cramlington to recruit an experienced Design Engineer. You will design specialist fabricated products and produce accurate manufacturing drawings.

Working with internal teams, you will develop concepts through to manufacture, using CAD to create 3D models and documentation. This is a role offering genuine long-term progression and hybrid working after training.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Design Engineer with a track record of delivering manufacturing drawings.
• Proficient in creating detailed 3D models and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong understanding of fabrication/mechanical engineering principles.
• Proficient in CAD software, especially Autodesk Inventor, to produce practical designs.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality manufacturing drawings for production.
• Create detailed 3D models and review designs with internal teams.
• Develop customer solutions from concept through to manufacture.
• Ensure designs are manufacturable, practical and commercially viable.

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Engineer to join an established engineering team responsible for designing specialist fabricated engineering products.

As a Design Engineer, you will produce high-quality manufacturing drawings, create detailed 3D models and work closely with internal teams to develop customer solutions from concept through to manufacture.

The successful Design Engineer will use CAD software to produce accurate engineering documentation while ensuring designs are practical, manufacturable and commercially viable.

Working alongside experienced engineers, the Design Engineer will become an integral part of a collaborative team delivering projects for customers around the world.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Design Engineer
