Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd in London seeks an experienced Design Coordinator to join the Design Management Function. You will support design deliverables, manage change control schedules, and chair design coordination meetings with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

The role offers exposure to preconstruction and construction phases, with opportunities to develop responsibility matrices, assess consultant scopes, and track information flow to satisfy planning conditions and client

Qualifications

• Recognised design or construction related qualification and/or a proven track record of working as a Design Coordinator within the construction industry.
• Ability to work to meet project time and cost constraints.
• Good understanding of design processes and detailed construction design across preconstruction and construction phases.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience with document management and change control processes.

Responsibilities

• Attend design team meetings to coordinate information from architects, engineers and subcontractors and produce clear minutes.
• Assist the Design Manager with drawings reviews, identify clashes and ensure comments are integrated.
• Support design, coordination, sub-contractor packages and change control processes.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and actions within the change control process.
• Track information submissions for Building Control compliance and planning conditions.
