Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey Ltd seeks an experienced Design Coordinator to join the Design Management team in Oxford. You will coordinate architects, engineers and subcontractors, manage design deliverables and drive change control across projects.

You will assist in design reviews, document control, and ensuring compliance with ERs and contract information while supporting the operations team with value engineering opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recognised design or construction qualification.
• Proven experience as a Design Coordinator within construction.
• Solid understanding of design processes and construction design during preconstruction and construction phases.
• Strong document control and change control capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Attend design team meetings to coordinate architects, engineers and sub-contractors and produce accurate meeting minutes.
• Review design information for ERs and contract docs compliance and issue comments.
• Manage design drawings reviews and coordinate comments back to teams and sub-contractors.
• Support the design manager and operations team with design coordination and change control processes.
• Identify and implement value engineering opportunities and document change controls.
• Track information submissions to satisfy Building Control and planning conditions.
• Distribute drawings to design teams and subcontractors to maintain workflow.
• Report design progress using View Point and the company’s CDE.
