Job summary

Bell Building Projects in Bristol is seeking a Design Coordinator to support the Design Manager in coordinating and delivering design information on live projects. This role offers hands-on experience in design management and collaboration with consultants and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate has an architectural background (Part 2 preferred) and a solid grasp of construction detailing, with strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills. Training and progression opportunities are available within BBP.

Qualifications

• Architectural or construction background and Part 2 qualification.
• Understanding of construction detailing, drawings and technical information.
• Strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills.
• Experience with document management systems; Procore is a plus.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines.
• Excellent communication with consultants and project teams.
• Knowledge of English Building Regulations.
• Interest in a long-term career in design management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate design information with the Design Manager and project team.
• Review drawings, specs and technical info for discrepancies and clashes.
• Ensure timely issue of information in line with the programme.
• Support RFI process; raise, track and close queries.
• Attend design, progress and technical meetings; record actions.
• Assist with review of subcontractor design information and specialist packages.
• Maintain design records and Procore project information.
• Identify and manage design risks and opportunities with the Design Manager.
• Liaise with site teams to resolve design queries and ensure latest information.
