A well-established and highly respected regional contractor is looking to appoint a Design Coordinator to support the successful delivery of projects ranging from £1m to £15m across the Home Counties, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Oxfordshire and North London.
Reporting to the Main Contracts Director, this is a standalone design role offering the opportunity to take ownership of the design process from tender stage through to project completion. The successful candidate will work closely with pre-construction, commercial and operational teams, coordinating consultant design teams and ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, technical requirements and client expectations.
Based between the company's Luton Head Office, project sites and client locations, the role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of projects across the commercial, education, industrial, heritage, blue light and leisure sectors.
This is a full-time position with standard working hours of 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, although flexibility will be required to meet project and client requirements.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Design Coordinator, Assistant Design Manager or Design Manager looking to join a successful family-owned contractor with a reputation for quality, repeat business and investing in its people.
Applicants should have experience coordinating or managing the design process within a main contractor environment and be comfortable working across multiple live projects.
Due to the nature of projects undertaken, candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, have been resident in the UK for the previous five years and be willing to undergo DBS, BPSS and client-specific security clearance checks where required.
