Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Design Coordinator to lead design coordination for bespoke commercial and residential fit out and refurbishment projects. The role focuses on driving design from concept to delivery, ensuring superb outcomes for clients while collaborating with the Leeds-based project teams.

The role includes national travel to site visits, managing multiple projects concurrently, and supporting the design team throughout the project lifecycle to maintain quality

Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in a main contractor environment.
• Relevant design/architecture qualification or degree.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire design process from concept development to final delivery.
• Coordinate design teams including planners, architects and quantity surveyors.

Are you an experienced Design Coordinator within the construction sector looking for an exciting new challenge working on bespoke commercial and residential fit out /refurbishment projects?

My clients are market leaders at bringing vacant spaces to life and ensuring designs improve productivity and well being. Their commercial process starts with work space consulting, space planning and design and finishes with consistently high quality project delivery.

The Role for a Design Coordinator

As a Design Coordinator you will be working on a range of office fit outs / refurbishments and office-to-residential conversions with values up to £25m, providing a unique turnkey solution. Sitting in the Design team you will be working closely with the project teams consisting of in-house planners, architects and quantity surveyors to ensure a superior client outcome and experience.

The role will involve overseeing the entire design process, from initial concept development to final delivery, and you will be expected to provide guidance and support to the design team throughout the project life cycle.

My clients office is located in Leeds. However, the role would require national travel to visit projects.

Requirements for a Design Coordinator

• 2-3 years experience working for a construction main contractor
• Relevant Design/Architecture related qualification or degree
• Valid UK Driving License
• Proven experience in coordinating design projects.
• Strong understanding of design principles and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
