Qualifications

  • Recently qualified architect/engineer (2–3 years post-qualification) or experienced technician looking to move into design coordination/management.
  • Highly organized and methodical, with a genuine interest in technical design and construction.
  • Eager to learn and develop within an experienced team.
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communicator with a collaborative, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate architectural, structural and civil design information across multiple projects.
  • Produce technical drawings to assist site and our modular factory.
  • Review drawings, technical submissions and design information from other consultants.
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams to support successful design delivery.
  • Help track design programmes and ensure quality and compliance are maintained.
  • Visit sites across London and occasionally travel to our Module Factory in Northampton.

My Fab is hiring a design coordinator to join its team in London.

Join a growing contractor specialising in traditional and modular offsite construction, delivering technically challenging projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an architect or engineer looking to transition into a design coordination role and build a long-term career within a supportive, forward-thinking team.

Working directly under our head of design and other senior members of the team, you’ll take on the role of design coordinator, supporting the delivery of technical design across multiple live projects. You’ll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to completion, with the genuine opportunity to develop into a Design Manager role as you gain experience and grow with the company.

Your role as a design coordinator will include:
  • coordinating architectural, structural and civil design information across multiple projects
  • producing technical drawings to assist site and our modular factory
  • reviewing drawings, technical submissions and design information from other consultants
  • liaising with consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams to support successful design delivery
  • helping to track design programmes and ensure quality and compliance are maintained
  • visiting sites across London and occasionally travelling to our Module Factory in Northampton
What we’re looking for:
  • a recently qualified architect/engineer (two to three years’ experience post-qualification) or experienced technician looking to move into design coordination/management
  • highly organised and methodical, with a genuine interest in technical design and construction
  • eager to learn and develop within an experienced team
  • comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • a strong communicator with a collaborative, proactive approach
  • strong familiarity with Revit and experience with BIM coordination
  • proficiency in AutoCAD
  • proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel and Word)
