Job summary

Bimplus in Blackpool is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take commercial ownership of multiple refurbishment and new-build projects under Design & Build contracts. You will manage budgets, forecasts, valuations and final accounts, build strong client relationships and work closely with operations and senior management to deliver projects profitably.

The role suits a commercially minded QS with main contracting exposure and the ability to juggle two to three projects across stages,

Qualifications

Proven experience on new-build projects.
Experience delivering Design & Build contracts.
Strong commercial awareness and cost control.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work with operations and management teams.

Responsibilities

Taking commercial responsibility for multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Managing budgets, costs, forecasts and commercial performance.
Preparing and reviewing valuations, applications, payments and final accounts.
Managing subcontractor procurement and subcontract accounts.
Reviewing variations, additional works and commercial changes.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Attending client meetings and acting as a commercial representative.
