Job summary

Egis is looking for a Design Assurance Engineer to ensure designs for installations comply with industry standards. The successful candidate will coordinate between various project teams and stakeholders to deliver safe and compliant designs.

The ideal applicant will possess an HNC or degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in the UK Electricity Transmission sector. A competitive salary, private medical insurance, and a company car scheme are part of the benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in infrastructure design, design assurance or technical approval within the Electricity Transmission and/or DNO sector.
• Currently or previously held National Grid BP141 Design Assurance Engineer authorisation.
• Proven ability to provide detailed feedback and recommendations to address design gaps.

Responsibilities

• Review and assess design submissions for compliance.
• Engage in regular project design review meetings.
• Coordinate with contractors on design matters.

Skills

Experience of the UK Electricity Transmission

Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure

Design compliance assurance

Risk identification and mitigation

Education

HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering

Chartered Engineer status
