Job summary

Q, the membership community improving care across the UK and Ireland, seeks a Design and Collaboration Manager to lead improvement programmes, run participatory workshops and coach teams within the Services group. You will design end-to-end initiatives, manage multiple projects and build trusted external relationships to deliver measurable impact.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, embed equality and inclusion, and explore new paid-for services and partnerships, applying systems

• Extensive experience in service design, systems thinking and improvement approaches.
• Creative facilitation with diverse groups including senior leaders.
• Ability to work confidently with senior external stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial or client-facing experience communicating value to varied audiences.
• Strong organisation; manages several strands of work simultaneously.

This Design and Collaboration Manager post sits in the Services team at Q, the membership community improving care across the UK and Ireland, which operates within the NHS Alliance. The core of the work is designing and leading improvement programmes, running participatory workshops and coaching, and developing new paid-for services and partnerships. Its client-facing, entrepreneurial side sets it apart, with trusted relationships to build with senior external stakeholders. Experience of service design, systems thinking and managing several projects at once decides fit.

What’s required

Experience

• Extensive experience of service design, systems thinking and/or improvement approaches, including coaching others
• Creative facilitation with groups from diverse backgrounds, including senior leaders
• Working confidently with senior people, including external stakeholders where relationships are limited
• Entrepreneurial and/or client-facing roles, communicating the value of work to varied audiences
• Strong project management and organisation, managing several strands of work at once

Skills & knowledge

• Understanding of, and commitment to, diversity and inclusion in employment and service delivery

Nice to have

• Synthesising, analysing and interpreting data to draw out learning, assess impact and make recommendations
• Techniques from systems thinking or social innovation to support systems change
• Good understanding of health and care systems across the UK, including the roles of local and national organisations
