Job summary

GSK in the United Kingdom is seeking a Scheduling Lead for dermatology product manufacturing. You will own end-to-end production scheduling and lead a small team of schedulers, coordinating with manufacturing, quality, regulatory and supply chain to ensure reliable short- and mid-term plans.

Based onsite at Barnard Castle, you will align capacity and materials, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement in scheduling, inventory targets, and right-off minimization.

Qualifications

  • Experience in production scheduling or planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership experience coaching schedulers or planners.
  • Practical knowledge of supply chain planning concepts and scheduling methods.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or ERP planning tools.
  • Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements in a GMP environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the open order book, Conformance to Schedule metrics and capacity statements.
  • Monitor schedule performance and produce clear reports for site leadership.
  • Identify constraints and lead resolution plans to protect delivery and quality.

Job description

You will lead scheduling for dermatology product manufacturing and supply in the United Kingdom. You will work closely with manufacturing, quality, regulatory and supply chain teams to deliver reliable short- and medium-term schedules.   • Own end-to-end production scheduling for dermatology lines across 0-24 month horizons.
  • Lead, develop and coach a team of schedulers to deliver daily performance targets.
  • Align capacity, materials and production plans with manufacturing and supply partners.
  • Manage the open order book, Conformance to Schedule metrics and capacity statements.
  • Monitor schedule performance and produce clear reports for site leadership.
  • Identify constraints and lead resolution plans to protect delivery and quality.
  • Work with planners and project team to manage ramp down of production operations, optimising inventory targets and minimise right offs.
Basic Qualification

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals

  • Experience in production scheduling or planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership experience managing or coaching a small team of schedulers or planners.
  • Practical knowledge of supply chain planning concepts and scheduling methods.
  • Hands‑on experience with SAP or equivalent ERP planning tools.
  • Understanding of quality and regulatory requirements in a GMP environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualification

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus

  • Degree in supply chain, logistics, business, science or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with Fixed Frequency Repeating Schedule or similar methods.
  • Strong data visualisation skills for planning dashboards and reports.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement or Lean initiatives in scheduling.
Working arrangement

This role is onsite at Barnard Castle in the UK. You will be expected to work on site regularly to lead the scheduling team and engage with manufacturing and site stakeholders.
