Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across our Barnard Castle site in the UK. You will create and maintain project plans, coordinate resources, and manage risks to deliver projects on time and within budget, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across functions, report progress to sponsors, and drive process improvements that enhance customer experiences and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, or proven project management experience.
• Strong experience managing projects in a complex, regulated or technical environment.
• Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and communication skills across multiple levels.
• Experience producing and maintaining project plans, schedules and status reports.

Position Summary

You will lead projects that improve how we deliver value for patients and customers. You will work closely with colleagues across functions and locations. Responsibilities

Basic Qualification We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

• Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, or proven project management experience.
• Strong experience managing projects in a complex, regulated or technical environment.
• Demonstrable stakeholder engagement and communication skills across multiple levels.
• Experience producing and maintaining project plans, schedules and status reports.

Preferred Qualification

• Professional project management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
• Experience with project tools such as Microsoft Project, Power BI or similar.
• Background in regulated manufacturing, supply chain or life sciences environments.
• Experience with process improvement or operational excellence methods.
• Strong financial awareness with experience managing project budgets.
• Experience leading product transfers, technical or capital projects.

Working arrangement

This role is onsite at Barnard Castle in the UK. You will be expected to work on site regularly to lead the scheduling team and engage with manufacturing and site stakeholders.
