Job summary

18 Week Support is seeking an experienced Dermatology Surgical Nurse to support weekend insourcing clinics and NHS waiting list initiatives. The role covers Minor Operations and Complex Minor Operations, operating Saturdays and Sundays from 08:00 to 18:00.

This is an opportunity to join experienced teams delivering high-quality patient care across the perioperative pathway. Applicants should be RN qualified, with current NMC registration and demonstrated dermatology surgical experience within

Qualifications

• Be currently working within an NHS dermatology service providing surgical care.
• Hands-on experience supporting patients within minor and complex minor operations.
• Active involvement in the dermatology surgical pathway within the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for minor surgical procedures.
• Set up equipment, instruments and procedure trolleys.
• Prepare clinic and treatment rooms for procedures.
• Assist clinicians to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery.

Requirements

To be considered, you must:

• Be currently working within an NHS dermatology service providing surgical care
• Have recent, hands-on experience supporting patients within:
• Minor Ops
• Complex Minor Ops
• Have been actively undertaking this work for at least 6 months within the past 12 months

You will also have

• Registered Nurse (RN) qualification
• Current NMC registration with no restrictions to practice
• Proven experience working within a dermatology surgical setting in the NHS

Responsibilities include supporting with

• Preparing patients for minor surgical procedures
• Setting up equipment, instruments and procedure trolleys
• Clinic and treatment room preparation
• Assisting clinicians to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery
