Job summary

The Royal South Hants Hospital invites applications for a permanent Specialty Doctor post in Dermatology. The role includes outpatient and surgical dermatology across Southampton General Hospital and peripheral sites, with potential subspecialty development in medical dermatology within a multidisciplinary team.

The post requires GMC registration and at least four years of post‑registration dermatology experience, with a January 2027 start.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
• GMC registration recognised.
• MRCP or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years post-registration experience in dermatology.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage a broad range of dermatological conditions in general dermatology clinics.
• Deliver specialist outpatient and surgical dermatology services.
• Take part in skin cancer clinics.
• Perform skin cancer surgery.
• Contribute to specialist medical dermatology services.
• Develop a subspecialty interest in medical dermatology.
• Work across Royal South Hants Hospital, Southampton General Hospital, and other sites.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation and deliver patient-centred care.
