Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced plastic surgeon to lead and perform dermatology skin procedures. You will participate in the skin MDT as a core member and undertake one theatre session per month for skin surgery, while supporting dermatology services and medical students through training and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• 12 years post qualification experience.
• 6 years experience as a plastic surgeon.
• Full GMC Registration and license to practice.

Responsibilities

• Undertake outpatient dermatology skin procedures.
• Partake in the skin MDT as a core member.
• Undertake 1 session per month skin surgery in theatres.
• Provide support to the dermatology service and medical students by actively contributing to training and continuity of service.
• Work well in a multi-professional team and show excellent teamwork.
• Contribute to service development, audits, guidelines and teaching.
• Deliver clinical and quality targets agreed with clinical teams and commissioners.

Education

MBBS or equivalent

MRCS

FRCS (Plastic Surgery) or equivalent qualifications approved by the GMC
