This post will support the Consultant and Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS) for Dermatology cancer within the Princess of Wales Hospital.
The post will include guiding patients and their families through their cancer journey, signposting them to the relevant available support.
A key element of the role will be ensuring co-ordination of care for Dermatology cancer patients across the cancer pathway.
As a member of the specialist cancer team, the post holder will provide support and care to the holistic needs of adult cancer patients, ensuring that cancer patients have support in navigating through the often complex health and social care systems. They will be a valuable point of contact for the patient and their family, throughout their journey.
The successful candidate will; undertake a range of assigned tasks involving direct and indirect care for the benefit of the cancer patient in accordance with agreed protocols.
They will have excellent communication skills; be able to work confidently with a number of different electronic systems; be well organised having good time management skills; and the ability to work as part of a team or on their own initiative.
