Job summary

Blackburn Road Medical Centre is seeking an enthusiastic Dermatology Clinician to provide high-quality, patient-centred dermatology services within a PriDerm community setting. The role includes assessing, diagnosing and managing dermatology patients, supporting skin cancer pathways and working with a multidisciplinary NHS team.

We welcome applications from GPwERs and hospital-based Consultant Dermatologists with relevant qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• MRCGP or equivalent qualification required.
• Diploma in Dermatology or equivalent relevant postgraduate dermatology qualification.
• Full GMC registration with a current licence to practise.
• Inclusion on the GMC GP Register is required for GPwER eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Undertake dermatology consultations, clinical assessments and examinations.
• Diagnose, investigate and manage common and complex skin conditions within competence.
• Assess suspicious skin lesions and recognise suspected skin cancer, red flags and urgent referrals.
• Initiate treatment, investigations and onward referrals per clinical pathways and national guidance.
• Provide clear explanations of diagnoses and management plans to patients.
• Maintain accurate, timely and confidential clinical records.
• Collaborate with GPs, dermatology specialists and nursing teams.

Education

MRCGP or equivalent

Diploma in Dermatology or equivalent

Registration: GMC with licence to practise

GP status Inclusion on the GMC GP Register
