Job description

This permanent post is a deputy role on a ward at Nuffield Health's Oxford Hospital, The Manor, covering for the Clinical Head of Department when needed. The work centres on keeping the ward running efficiently, co-ordinating activity, and taking responsibility for patient care and safety, with a focus on personalised care and staff education. The hospital runs inpatient and day-care surgical and medical services, and the role is full-time at 37.5 hours a week. NMC registration is required.

• Good organisational skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Knowledge and understanding of running a smooth and effective department
• Knowledge of departmental equipment
• Ability to promote innovation and sustainability
