Oak Ward

Oak is a recovery-focused medium secure service for women over 18 with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum conditions.

Located in Northampton, Oak's care philosophy recognizes individuals' strengths alongside their needs, providing support, treatment, and care from a multidisciplinary team to aid recovery.

We offer tailored care packages that focus on increasing skills to manage distress and psychotic symptoms, minimizing risks, and achieving realistic goals.

Sunley Ward

A recovery-oriented low secure service for men over 18 with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum conditions, based at our Northampton site. Sunley is part of our male Learning Disability pathway and accepts direct referrals or transitions from our medium secure service.

The care philosophy emphasizes recognizing individual strengths and needs, with support, treatment, and care provided by our specialist multidisciplinary team.

Main Duties of the Role

You will lead by example, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility in shifts is expected to facilitate effective communication and high standards of care. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing and receiving clinical supervision
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective clinical service delivery
  • Maintaining a safe, clean ward environment
  • Acting as Designated Division Shift Co-ordinator, including seclusion reviews
  • Role modeling high standards of clinical care
  • Staying updated on clinical policies and innovations and applying them in practice
  • Deputising for the Ward Manager when needed
