Job Summary

The post holder will assist the ward manager in providing day-to-day management and supervision of a team of registered and unregistered staff on Ward 11 Princess of Wales Hospital, currently based at Ward 18 in Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The role involves assisting with pre and postoperative patient flow to and from theatre and the ward, contributing to healthcare provision, assessing care needs, and delivering services.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated RN for a Band 6 managerial position on Ward 18, Royal Glamorgan Hospital, covering maternity leave. Ward 18 is an 18-bed female surgical ward, also accommodating elective Gynaecology cases. Responsibilities include assisting with preoperative patient preparation, post-surgery patient reception, ward coordination, and collaborating with the ward manager to maintain standards and safety.
