Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Deputy Team Manager for the CAMHS Outreach & DBT team in Oxford. The role includes supporting the operational lead, developing clinical structures, recruiting staff and day-to-day implementation of the service, and deputising when required to ensure high-quality community mental health care for young people and families.

Responsibilities

  • Hold, proactively engage and work a caseload of young people with complex and pervasive mental health needs using evidenced-based interventions.
  • To complete holistic, systematic and comprehensive assessments informing care and risk plans under the CPA framework.
  • Support a learning and reflective culture via supervision spaces and role modelling.
  • Manage sickness, absence, leave and disciplinary processes in line with Trust policies.
  • Participate in service development, evaluation and QI projects.

Are you a qualified RMN, OT or Social Worker seeking a new challenge?
We are seeking a full time Deputy Team Manager to join the CAMHS Outreach & DBT team. The role aims to support the CAMHS Outreach & DBT operational lead in the delivery of specialist services whilst also holding a clinical caseload.
You will work alongside the operational lead in the management and further development of the CAMHS Outreach & DBT service: Developing clinical structures, recruiting staff and day to day implementation of the service.
You will deputise for the operational lead when required, ensuring the delivery of high-quality community mental health care packages to the young people and families under our care. In addition to the above and with support from the operational lead the post holder is expected to contribute in the development and implementation of a robust performance management system for the team and will be responsible for the line management, case supervision and appraisal of team colleagues and students.
In regard to clinical responsibilities the you will be responsible for a small case load of complex young people who are cared for under the assertive outreach provision.

  • Hold, proactively engage and work a caseload of young people with complex and pervasive mental Health needs using evidenced-based interventions.
  • To complete holistic, systematic and comprehensive assessments of a young person's mental health needs. which informs the development of a care plan and risk management plan, within the CPA framework.
  • To support a learning and reflective culture within the team via role modelling and proactive engagement with supervision spaces.
  • Working with the Trust processes and policies to effectively manage sickness, absence, leaves and disciplinary processes.
  • To participate in Service Development, evaluation and QI projects.
