Job summary

Thera Trust is seeking a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams and delivering person-centred support in line with regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements.

You will mentor staff, help design support plans, manage rotas, maintain records, address concerns, conduct audits and deputise when needed, promoting empowerment, inclusion, rights and independence across multi-site locations.

Qualifications

  • Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above (England) or SCQF 7 or above (Scotland).
  • Proven experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
  • Leadership or coaching experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and care regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Confidence in using digital systems (e.g. Excel, care planning software).
  • Flexible working hours, willingness to travel locally and work across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor teams, coach support staff and drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as a role model of best practice while on shift.
  • Design support plans, assist with rota management, maintain records and conduct audits.
  • Deputise for the Support Manager when needed and empower individuals to exercise rights and independence.

At Thera Trust we believe people with a learning disability should be leaders in society. We are looking for a Deputy Support Manager to assist the Support Manager in leading teams, to deliver person-centered support that meets regulatory, contractual, and organisational requirements.

As aDeputy Support Manageryou will mentor teams, coach support staff and drive continuous improvement. You will ensure that practice leadership is developed, recognised and reflected in all we do as you work on shift as part of the working rota enabling you to act as a role model of best practice.

You will support people to design their support plans, assist with rota management, help maintain records, address concerns, conduct audits, and deputise for the Support Manager when needed. At all times aim to empower individuals, promote inclusion, rights & independence, whilst adhering to policies and acting as an ambassador for the company

Skills & Experience
