Job summary

Home Bargains in Aylesbury is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead on the shop floor, support your team, and keep the store running smoothly in a fast-paced retail environment.

As a hands-on leader you’ll motivate staff, tackle customer queries, and drive service standards while developing the next generation of Home Bargains leaders.

This permanent full-time role offers 44 hours per week, a strong benefits package, and opportunities to grow with a fast-growing discount retailer.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising small to medium-sized teams in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams to achieve high weekly sales targets.
• Confidence in supporting recruitment, training, and day-to-day team development.
• A strong understanding of store priorities, standards, and customer service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the shop floor, motivating your team and ensuring support where needed.
• Coach your team through busy days to deliver great service and maintain standards.
• Keep the store running smoothly by managing daily tasks and responding quickly to changes.
