Starbucks Coffee Company in the United Kingdom is seeking a deputy store manager to co-lead the store, deliver commercial, operational and people results, and act when the store manager is absent.

You will lead the store in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment, drive KPIs, recruit and train partners, ensure compliance and safety, and embody Starbucks values while delivering an outstanding customer experience across shifts.

As an assistant manager, working in one of our dynamic stores, alongside your store leadership team, you’ll be setting the example and leading from the front with on shift. A typical day could include:Co-leading the store to achieve financial targets, customer satisfaction scores, and operational excellenceOwning business areas which could include compliance, labour management or local marketingLeading the store leadership team, ensuring clarity of roles and accountability for resultsForecasting future staffing needs, participating in recruitment and selectionOwning the store partner training; ensuring all partners have completed required training and are set up for successActing as the store manager when required, including full operational and partner accountabilityMonitoring store KPIs, analysing performance trends, and implementing action plansDriving cost control and profitability through effective resource planning and waste managementClosing both standards and opportunity gaps using the store action planEnsuring consistent delivery of brand and operational standardsMaintaining compliance with health & safety, food safety and security standards which include conducting and recording due diligence checksGiven the nature of our stores, working hours could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays.All our retail store partners begin their careers with us by undertaking an introductory training programme which are led by our amazing in store trainers and coaches and are designed to immerse you in the Starbucks culture and set you up for success.
