Job summary

Vilgain is seeking a Deputy Store Manager to join our London store team as the Store Manager’s right hand, guiding day-to-day operations and modeling excellence on the shop floor. You will help create an environment where customers enjoy shopping with Vilgain for both products and experience.

You will motivate the sales team, plan shifts, and oversee stock, cash desk, and orders while upholding Vilgain standards. A proactive, customer-focused approach is essential.

About The Role

We are looking for a Deputy Store Manager to join our Vilgain store team. You will be the Store Manager’s right hand and someone the team can rely on in the day-to-day operations.

This role is not just about “managing shifts”. We are looking for someone who understands retail, leads by example on the sales floor, maintains high store standards, and helps us create an environment where customers enjoy coming back — not only because of our products, but also because of the overall experience.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Store Manager and stepping in during their absence.
• Leading the sales team — motivating team members, planning shifts, and onboarding new colleagues.
• Overseeing daily operations — from the cash desk to stock management and orders.
• Making sure customers feel welcome and creating a great atmosphere in the store.
• Active sales, customer advice, and representing the Vilgain brand.
• Taking part in additional projects that help us move our retail business forward.

Requirements

• You have retail experience and know how to lead a team.
• You are interested in a healthy lifestyle and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others.
