We are seeking a candidate with proven experience in sterile services or a related healthcare field, particularly with a focus on quality and safety. You should have strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide your team to meet and exceed departmental goals. A proactive approach to ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting continuous improvement in service delivery will be essential.

You will also need excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage resources effectively and make decisions that enhance the overall performance of the department. If you are passionate about maintaining the highest decontamination standards and thrive in a fast-paced, rewarding environment, we would love to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Sterile Services Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards and ensuring that operations align with the goals of providing the highest quality of decontamination services. You will also be responsible for leading and motivating a dedicated team, ensuring that all staff members are well-trained, supported, and performing to their best potential.

You will play a key part in maintaining and improving the quality and safety of decontamination services, making sure that the department meets and exceeds compliance with industry standards such as HTM 01-01 and ISO 13485:2016. This will involve overseeing processes to ensure that all services are performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard, helping to ensure the safety and care of our patients.

Additionally, you will contribute to the overall delivery of high-quality patient care by upholding our commitment to safety, quality, and best practices. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you will ensure that all aspects of the department meet regulatory standards while helping to streamline processes for greater efficiency.

We have nearly 10,000 fantastic people working hard to deliver quality services to our patients. Whatever your role, you help look after 370,000 people in our local area & give specialist care to 1.5 million people across Lancashire & Cumbria.

Working with us gives you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely does make a difference to support our patients & staff, ensuring we keep thriving & delivering outstanding healthcare right across our local towns.

You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet fab people & do things you’d never have done. You’ll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills & enhance your career path.

You’ll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, be bold & help innovate to keep improving things. Everything we do centres around patient care and enhancing their experience which means your role is pivotal and something really to be proud of.
