Job Introduction

We are Eden Futures, delivering support services for individuals aged 18 and over with learning disabilities, autism, mental health issues, and complex needs.

We are seeking a developing leader to step into a Deputy Service Manager role within our Supported Living Services, supporting individuals in their homes and community to live independently.

The Deputy Specialist Service Manager will be released from shift to perform the role 2-3 shifts per week.

*Roles are paid an annual salary of £26,000, based on a 37.5-hour week. The salary shown is for illustrative purposes only.

Successful candidates will need an Enhanced DBS check before starting.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in recruiting new staff, ensuring proper induction and training
  • Provide structured supervision and support staff reviews
  • Identify training and development needs
  • Lead staff meetings professionally
  • Provide clinical guidance and support in best practices
  • Undertake on-call duties as required
  • Address performance or conduct issues appropriately
  • Monitor attendance and conduct return-to-work interviews
  • Manage timesheets and leave requests
  • Participate in on-call duties to ensure 7-day service coverage
  • Understand the wider business implications, including audits and inspections (CQC)
  • Attend management and team meetings
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders such as Adult Social Care & Health and CCGs
  • Lead by example to enable service users to live fulfilling lives
  • Oversee transitions for new or moving service users
  • Manage the delivery of commissioned hours according to service user needs
  • Create and review person-centred support plans
  • Ensure risk assessments are in place to safeguard service users

  • Experience in Supported Living or Residential services preferred
  • Experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities or Mental Health conditions advantageous
  • Willing to undertake further training
